LOVE my Book Goblin stickers. Ordered a set for my daughter and her friend for their birthdays!

A wonderful series that I can't wait to finish! Good to be reading it on my 45 day Mediterranean cruise

I am looking forward to reading the series. The books were packed with such care! I plan on unwrapping as I progress through each individual book.

I love this book. Magic, marriage-before-romance, political alliance drama, war, hard work - it's all good! It draws you into the first scene with just enough drama to make you ask 'what next?' and the female lead only lets her backstory out in small pieces as the story progresses so re-reading it will be even better now that I know her history. Her personal growth is excellent and the characters all have a good reason for being where they are in the plot. Elizabeth invests you in every player (even the antagonists) and you don't feel like any of them are just a plot device or placeholder. You understand the motivations of everyone as you go along for the ride and it has some tear-jerker moments, some righteous-anger times & some fist-pumping, yell-at-your-book action sequences.
I'm on the wait-list for #2 and happily book-worm-chomping through all Wheatley's other series while I wait.
Fair warning: Don't recommend for under 18's (one sex scene, pivotal to the story but I would love a PG version so I can recommend this series to my book-nerd daughter.)(You know, like in older movies where they close the door on the camera & you assume what happens based on how they act in the morning ;-)
Loved this. Loving Wheatley's other series. 5-stars. Would read again. Keep it up Elizabeth!

I have read the ebooks. Totally excited to read read in the book form. The second book will be new content for me. I got tired of requesting them from the library and then not actually reading them. I have asked for the library to get copies of everything!
